Guardian Unlimited | Online | Web watch: "News easy
If you'd like to know what is being said about you or your company in Usenet newsgroups but find them too tedious to read, then you should find NetNews Tracker useful. It is a bot (software robot) that searches the newsgroups twice a day for the phrases of your choice, then emails you an excerpt and a link to the full posting. The service was created by journalist Kevin Savetz, who missed the old Stanford Netnews Filtering Service, which was taken over by Reference.com.
